Deep Cove Kayak Centre has been operating in Deep Cove for over 42 years, offering sea kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and surfski rentals and tours. The three-hour Deep Cove Explorer tour runs daily March through October, led by certified sea kayak instructors through the southern part of Indian Arm. Rentals are available hourly, daily, or weekly.

The Shipyards District
Public Disco Festival is a new, full-day, two-stage electronic music festival at the Shipyards District in North Vancouver, brought to you by the team behind Vancouver's favourite summer block parties. Celebrating a decade of Public Disco, this event brings underground electronic music to one of the region's most architecturally distinctive public spaces on the North Shore waterfront. Headlining the Main Stage is Leon Vynehall (UK), Fred P (New York), Prosumer (UK), and DJ Holographic (Detroit), with support from Vancouver's Dane and Calgary's DJ Hannah. Inside the Pipe Shop Venue, the Pabst Blue Ribbon Vinyl Lounge powered by Lobe Studio features an all star list of local vinyl selectors, alongside live visuals curated by ephemeral objects. A slower room with immersive sound, built for conversation, deep listening, and getting lost in the projections. This event is the centrepiece of a multi-day cultural celebration marking a decade of Public Disco creating pop-up dance floors, transforming public space, and creating community connection across Vancouver and beyond. Capilano Suspension Bridge Park
Canyon Frights is Back and Capilano Suspension Bridge Park has Never Been Spookier The bones are wiggling in the graveyard and the ghouls are getting giggly, which can only mean one thing: Canyon Frights is back at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. From October 9 to November 1, 2026, the Park will transform into a glowing, growling day-and-night adventure for the whole family, complete with limited-time seasonal treats and drinks to sink your fangs into along the way. The festively frightful forest returns in full force this year, with beloved bone-rattling vignettes scattered throughout the Park, including Cliffwalk, Treetops Adventure and the West Coast rainforest. Keep an eye out for boo-tiful photo opportunities, curious critters and ghostly friends hiding around every corner. A few more bewitching things to expect at Canyon Frights: ● Ghostly Glow: The iconic suspension bridge, the river and surrounding forest will light up to set the mood for Halloween. ● A Little Extra Funk in the Forest: With Bruno Mars set to take over Vancouver for a record-breaking five-night tour stop this October, Canyon Frights is getting in on the citywide excitement.
