Halloween in Vancouver 2026: your guide to the Saturday Halloween weekend

Halloween is on a Saturday, so Vancouver gets two big nights out, daytime trick-or-treating on three shopping streets, and the last weekend of Fright Nights and Canyon Frights. Here are the plans, the picks and the streets worth walking.

Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, so you get a Friday night out and then a full Saturday. Friday brings a 19+ night at Science World, the Polygon's first Halloween party and a witches' ball. On Saturday, kids can trick-or-treat along Hastings Street at noon, in Yaletown from 3:30 and on Denman from 4:30, then head out door-to-door in Douglas Park after the 5:52pm sunset. Sunday is free for recovering, or for one last walk through Canyon Frights before it closes.

This is also the final weekend for the region's big seasonal attractions. Fright Nights at Playland runs through Halloween night, Burnaby Village Museum's Haunted Village ends on the 31st, and Canyon Frights at Capilano Suspension Bridge closes on November 1. We went through the roughly 50 Halloween listings on EnjoyHere Vancouver for October 26 to November 1 and checked key details against organizers' pages. BC doesn't turn its clocks back this year, so you won't get an extra hour of sleep on Sunday.

The suspension bridge, river and forest are lit up for Halloween, and Cliffwalk gets funky skeleton displays this year to mark Bruno Mars' five-night stand in Vancouver. It also has the most non-scary corners for little kids of the three big attractions, including Critter's Hollow and the Little Goblins' games.

Weeknight warm-ups, Whistler and Sunday

There are a few lower-key plans before the weekend. On Monday there's clay pumpkin painting in Surrey, on Tuesday a Skeletons & Sips paint night, and on Wednesday a free Co-op Connect Halloween hangout in Burnaby. Thursday is the first real party night: The Birdhouse stages its Rocky Horror drag show (7pm, $24.64+, with another show Friday at 6pm), and WestTreks throws a Halloween party at 8pm.

Heading up the Sea to Sky? Whistler's free Halloween Barcrawl is on Thursday at 7pm, and A Very Handsome Halloween is on Saturday at 7:30pm ($27.96). Back in the city, Sunday, November 1 is the last day of Canyon Frights, and there's a Halloween Latin social at The Rec Room Brentwood at 5:30pm.
